BigTwin Magazine: Sweden
Not being well endowed from a fiscal perspective requires Publishers and Editors across the globe be crafty in how we accomplish our goals and one of mine was developing a content stream from Europe, that was branded… and working with BigTwin allowed IronWorks to do that. I met Editors for BigTwin Magazine in Switzerland in 2010 and we developed a good understanding for successfully working together.
The nature of our relationship is that of straight-up content swapping (translation included). Luckily for us, the Swedes like IronWorks creative product and are handy at translation, as my Swedish stinks!
Since I capture the majority of the magazines editorial content, rights & usage – generally a deal-killer in situations like this – is not an issue, I am happy to have my editorial work featured abroad.
Initially, I thought that the Swedes would be interested in IronWorks bike features, but to my surprise they were as interested in my Tech & How-To’s, as they were anything else.
The benefit of this content swap for my manufacturing partners and the folks we cover editorially, is that they enjoy global coverage – for no cost!
